Son of Bear Bones Tune Book

The Traditional music session at the Bear Inn Faversham has been running now for over 17 years.
Many musicians have learnt their music from the original 'Bear Bones' book published by Andy Perkins.
This is a second volume of tunes reflecting the music that is played now from English Country Dance and Morris tunes
to Belgian, French and Swedish tunes covering Reels, Polkas, Jigs, Waltzes, Mazurkas, Schottisches, Slides and Hornpipes
and a few others as well.

It was produced in the same style as the original, hence the name 'Son of Bear Bones' and each tune is written out in its basic unadorned form in the key we play in the session making it a useful resource for all musicians.
The 'twiddly bits' are best added after you have learnt the tune and picked up the playing style from sitting in a session.
The book forms a great repertoire for any session and for any sessioneer, covering many of the tunes that are popular in gatherings
