The Traditional music session at the Bear Inn Faversham has been running now for 20 years.
Many musicians have learnt their music from this - the original 'Bear Bones' book published by Andy Perkins.
This book of 30 sets (89 tunes) of traditional music reflects the music from English Country Dance covering Hornpipes and Hopsteps, English Reels and Polkas, Marches, Rants and Reels, Jigs and a few miscellaneous tunes.
Each tune is written out in its basic unadorned form in the key we play in the session making it a useful resource for all musicians.
The book forms a great repertoire for any session and for any sessioneer, covering many of the tunes that are popular in gatherings all over England and beyond!
